Albums of 2013: The Playlist

Surprising though some of the entries may be, our Albums of 2013 countdown is now available for all to see (50-11) here and (10-1) here. Voted for by our writers, the results of suggest a year crammed full with good releases. So much so, we had a hard time agreeing about the best one, and consequently those mainstream acts called to the forefront of our mind came out trumps.

Despite the Top Ten promoting the likes of Kanye West, it's important to note many of the releases listed further down the line are independent. Because of that, we know you might not have heard of the acts before. I certainly hadn't heard of lots in the 30's and 40's. To help you understand our writers' choices and to introduce you to artists that may have slipped you by in 2013, we've dug through our Top 50 Albums of 2013 and selected the artists who are inherently 'DrunkenWerewolf' in sound.
