Stream: Coves return with shoegaze gem “Stormy”

Coves - StormyLondon based indie rock duo Coves are back with their new single, "Stormy". The song is taken from their forthcoming sophomore album, due in March 2016.

Featuring the band's well versed tight production, shoegaze guitars and Rebekah Wood's intoxicating vocals; Coves takes you on a psychedelic adrenaline rush as "Stormy" brings an exciting glimpse of what's to come in the new year.

Both Wood and John Roffe have worked with producer Cam Blackwood (George Ezra, London Grammar) on their new album. Blackwood took the home recordings that the band had made during "red wine holidays" at John’s East London spare room studio to Studio Voltaire in Clapham, and honed the pop side until it was as sharp as their psychedelic garage edge. The result was their second album, which is cleaner, harder and just as fiery as ever. The new album will be released through 1965 Records in March 2016.

Talking about their new song "Stormy", Rebekah says: "I’ve developed into a new person but I’ve still got that passion. You see nothing but thunder in my stormy eyes over a slab of prime Coves road trip Americana."
