Stealing Sheep unveil new video for “Not Real”

Stealing Sheep unveil new video for "Not Real"After recently being announced for this year’s Farmfest Stealing Sheep have unveiled their new video for single “Not Real”, the title track from their upcoming new album, which is out 13th April.

Flamboyant wigs, luminescent face paint, and a plethora of props and backdrops from a discarded educational video from the 1980s lay the groundwork for “Not Real”. As each of our trio don eerie masks and sway to the hypnotic rhythm of “Not Real” we find ourselves shutting out the real world to become enveloped in theirs.

Directed by James Slater on an old 16mm wind-up bolex “Not Real” certainly feels like it’s less than tangible. The crackling video quality and throwback costumes harking to a somewhat bizarre dream one might have had after viewing an educational supplement make “Not Real” as visually arresting as it is audibly.

Their prolonged absence has been noted by us all but after such a triumphant return in “Not Real”, we’re all willing to let it slide. And with the recent announcement of a headline appearance at XOYO on 7th May, we feel Stealing Sheep know how to make it up to their fans. Grab tickets here.
