News: Sound City announces rebranded conference

Sound CitySound City have announced a brand new format for their award winning industry conference.

Rebranded as Sound City+, the conference will be purely artist and industry focused. It promises everything previous Sound City conferences had to offer and more, but with a richer and more condensed platform.

The content heavy programme is jam packed with workshops, one-to-one meetings with United Kingdom and international record labels, agents, music supervisors and festivals from all over the world, sign posting sessions and inspirational TED type talks throughout the day.

Conference Director Jo Whitty says of the event: "Our major aim with Sound City+ is to create a hectic, energised environment where attendees can dash through an array of rooms and meet some of the most amazing people from all areas of the international music business. This is definitely not aimed at stalwarts.  It is aimed at the new kids on the block, those who want to shake things up and change everything.  Sound City+ is a place to meet people, be inspired, have arguments and do some great business."

The new look conference will be purely artist and industry focused and take place on Friday 27th May 2016 in the iconic Rum Warehouse at Liverpool’s Titanic Hotel. The festival will run 28th and 29th May and includes performances from Catfish and the Bottlemen, Sleaford Mods, The Coral, Leftfield, The Dandy Warhols and many more.
