DrunkenWerewolf is very happy to premiere a full stream of High Tide 15:47’s debut self-titled EP, available below. The record is due for release on 26th January 2015 and follows on from the demo release of “Too Much Time Alone”, with a remastered version included on the EP. Its launch will be celebrated by a show at the Mining Institute, in the band’s home town of Newcastle on 7th February 2015.
Looking fresh faced after a healthy Radar tip in the current issue of the NME, High Tide 15:47 comprises Dan Murray on drums, Steven Gordon on guitar and vocal duties, Nick Hodgson on bass, and latest addition Hannah D’Arcy on keyboard. The band is influenced by the shoegaze scene of the late 80s and early 90s, but High Tide 15:47 nevertheless bring their own lick of paint to proceedings by way of utterly infectious hooks and riffs.
Their music has served them well so far, providing support slots alongside the likes of Wolf Alice, Eagulls and Younghusband, as well as Speedy Ortiz and The Sonics. The EP comes in the wake of debut single “Shade of Blue”. The first song to be taken from the EP, following its release in December 2014 it quickly found fame via airplay on BBC Radio 6 Music and Amazing Radio.
