Premiere: Stevie Talk’s hazy indie gem, “Pollyanna”

Stevie TalksToday we're very happy to premiere "Pollyanna", the charming new song from Costa Mesa-based musician, Stevie Talks.

As an artist, Talks has purposefully pursued a solo career, despite reportedly being asked to join  Atlas Genius just last year. Now settled down and ready to walk the long road alone, it's unsurprising that his music errs towards the troubadour, with a touch of indie rock to add a spark to the fire.

Having worked alongside Young the Giant, Sir Sly, and Mating Ritual in the studio, Stevie Talks has gathered together a collection of songs to demonstrate his versatility as well as his songwriting prowess.

"Pollyanna" is the latest song to emerge from Talks' repertoire, and it embodies the young singer-songwriter's chosen direction as a "Californian cowboy" well: a trudge towards a hazy melody that brings it all together at the chorus. This is the sound of a clear spring afternoon, and not a moment too soon.

And Stevie's description of the song?

"This song was written about a girl that I cannot stand."

Listen to "Pollyanna" below and find out more about Stevie Talks here.
