Nadine Shah returns with “Stealing Cars”

Nadine Shah returns with "Stealing Cars"The seductive vocals of Nadine Shah have blessed our ears once more as she returns with the majestic “Stealing Cars”. Reminiscent of the 90s emo-grunge drone of Placebo, “Stealing Cars” is a smoky and brooding return to form from Shah, one that looks to be the start of something special for the new year.

“Stealing Cars” is still imbued with the same sultry tone and somnambulant pace as Love Your Dum and Mad, most notably tracks like “The Devil”. Yet it exhibits growth with interesting new instrumentation and compositional style, whilst all being stamped with her beautiful vocals.

Back in 2013 Shah released her debut album Love Your Dum and Mad to unanimous critical acclaim. The release was followed by opening shows for Bat for Lashes and Depeche Mode, as well as performing at Vivienne Westwood’s Red Label Fashion Week show, so we can only hope that 2015 sees Shah taking a more dominant role in the touring position, with some soul shattering performances (preferably in Bristol please.)

“Stealing Cars” is just the beginning, however we’re yet to find out what is due to come next or when for that matter. The good news is that “Stealing Cars” is available for download from iTunes, so you can listen to your hearts content.
