Electronic pop singer-songwriter Amber Bain (aka The Japanese House) has announced an extended run of UK and European dates for Spring 2017, which will see her play her biggest London headline show to date at London KOKO. The news comes as The Japanese House was recently added to the BBC Sound of 2017 longlist, fresh after the release of the critically acclaimed third EP Swim Against the Tide.
The Japanese House ended 2016 with a headline North American tour before joining The 1975 as special guest on their Arena tour, including two dates at The O2 Arena in London.
The Swim Against the Tide EP builds upon the sonic foundations laid so far by Amber Bain, taking her distinctive sound to new heights by a more open embrace of pop sensibilities. With shades of introspection polarised by some of her most euphoric moments to date, this long awaited third EP is a statement release from Bain, confirming her place as one of 2016’s breakthrough artists.
The Swim Against the Tide EP is out now on Dirty Hit.
