We here at DrunkenWerewolf HQ haven’t heard music that borders this kind of cool since the heady heyday of The Dandy Warhols and their legacy of Americana gone bananas indie pop. And Fort Smith, Arkansas band Pagiins are only on their second EP.
Never mind living in a place Google Maps tells me isn’t near much of anything; if the sound of their song “Self Saboteur” is anything to go by, the five piece are capable of building their own metropolis from the ground up. Fronted by the impenetrable Leif Hinshaw, Pagiins released "Self Saboteur" for free to the masses yesterday – perhaps to put Fort Smith on the map (literally), perhaps to start an imminent and irrepressible takeover of all things good and holy. Who knows?
New EP Bad Things Don't is due out on December 3rd via BandCamp. Check out Pagiins' FaceBook page to say you liked them first.
