Introducing: Moving Panoramas

Moving PanoramasImagine Joy Division mixed with new Leeds band Battle Lines, or mid-00s alt pop champions The Chalets. That'd be cool, right? Well, that exists, courtesy of the ever-so-phenomenal Moving Panoramas.

The three-piece may hail from Austin, Texas, but they very much have the British music scene under their wing on new track, "ONE", the title song from their upcoming debut album. A fantastic ode to anyone who's ever found themselves alone and enjoying it, it's the 2015 equivalent of The Long Blondes' "Once and Never Again", with added feminine sass and just enough morphia to send you into a delirious spin around the dance floor. Most importantly, despite ringing in comparison to former musical glories and conquests of the UK, it sounds like no one else recording right now.

The project of former The Wooden Birds member Leslie Sisson; Moving Panoramas were formed out of the School of Rock where Sisson taught and met bassist Rozie Castoe. Borrowing Black Forest Fire drummer Karen Sklossare to complete their line-up, Moving Panoramas quickly began to record, including time spent at Resonate in Austin alongside Louie Lino. The results are soon due for release: ONE  is due out 2nd October 2015 through Modern Outsider.
