Introducing: Cayucas

Cayucas (pronounced ‘ky-yook-us’) sound like a group of Paul Simon fans singing from beyond the grave via a portable radio hooked up to a dodgy wireless. They even reference chameleons and Volkswagen in their lyrics, and peddle background instrumentation The Beach Boys would be proud of.

Project lead and songwriter Zach Yudin takes influence from San Luis Obispo County, California, an area that has, apparently, not changed in the past 50 years since the surf scene hit. Backed by three on stage and signed to Secretly Canadian Records, Cayucas and Yudin are names you can expect to hear more and more in the coming months, with a full length album due for release in early 2013.
