Introducing: Battle Lines

Battle LinesCombining dark and at times epic alternative with a 90s sensibility; Leeds based trio Battle Lines are the perfect accompaniment to an evening spent walking slowly down corridors. Or, if you’re normal, an evening spent alone in your bedroom, carefully memorising the words front woman Carly Humphries sings on new track “Colonies”.

Due for release on 15th April 2014 through No Sleep Records, “Colonies” is the latest 7” single from the band. It comes in the wake of 2013 single “Hearts”, an underground success that secured Battle Lines performances at the Beacons Festival. Comprising Humphries alongside Matty Bradley, Ralph Sayers and Luke Barnfather, together they make incredibly infectious songs about abandoning relationships and, err, countries – a sure hit in a darkened room, if not an open field.

Having recently performed a string of shows at SXSW, Battle Lines return to the UK this April to tour the country, with dates listed hereYou can listen to “Colonies” below. Check back soon for more!
