Stream: Emily Clibourn releases sultry pop debut Blow

BlowLos Angeles based pop singer songwriter Emily Clibourn recently released her debut solo album, Blow. The release follows widespread support for Clibourn from tastemaker blogs including Free Bike Valet, Culture Collide and The LA Deli.

Clibourn began recording at the age of 13. She first pursued an acting career, gaining credits in national commercials and receiving various roles, including one in the mini-series Heartbreak High, USA and another on Children on Their Birthdays. Clibourn then decided to go down a more creative road as a musician and has since recorded several albums under various projects. She’s worked with notable musicians and producers, such as Curtis Byrd (Baby Bash), The Lost Children of Babylon, Antoneus Maximus and DJ Motiv8 (Black Eyed Peas).

Free Bike Valet speaks highly of the focus track on Blow, "Burgundy," saying ""Burgundy" is softer than its predecessor but still purrs with solid swagger thanks to assorted keys and Clibourn’s class chanteuse conveyance." Culture Collide say ""For The Love" is a somber ballad with jazz and soul influences flowing through its veins."

Blow, which was recorded in the Seance Room and produced by Brett Cookingham and Matt Pav, is now available for purchase through iTunes.
