Introducing: Elephant Micah

Over the past few months I've noticed the taste-tastically graced saywhatyousee repeatedly listening to Elephant Micah, yet thought nothing more off it bar a mental note pushed far to the back of my mind, telling me to check out his music. Today, the time came when said graced individual messaged me commenting on the music and imploring me to have a listen, as I was one of the few she could think of that would enjoy it.

That final opinion is to the world's detriment: Elephant Micah, a.k.a. Indiana's Joe O’Connell, does indeed create wonderfully calming music worth embracing, but the majority's failure to catch on is a total catastrophe. Regularly touring with The Decemberists, Magnolia Electric Co. and My Morning Jacket, his music is more comparable to the equally serene Phosphorescent. Absolutely what is needed after a heavy handed Saturday evening.

You can buy or download free zip files of his music from here.

    thank you!
And good choice of songs to start with, wave translation was actually one of the 3 songs that i first started listening to when my friend put them on a mix-cd. Hope people will actually make some donations on his website. If i could i would’ve already done it.

Same, it comes out like that when you download it from the main site. Luckily Winamp comes to the rescue and renames them for me!

I’m making a donation/buying something physical when I get paid on Tuesday. I really respect musicians that ask for donations rather than having a set price, it makes me more likely to give them money either way.
