DrunkenWerewolf was lucky enough to be included in the line up, and the monster fixed her sights squarely on artists we’ve loved and adorned with praise throughout 2011.

منطقة خيار ثنائي It’s important to note that The Blog Sound of 2012 was devised not to counteract the BBC’s more established Sound of 2012, but to offer an alternative and perspective from the internet world, removed from the BBC’s “tastemakers” qualifier. The results of the long list matched the aim, calling to arms everyone from recognised and celebrated underground artists, to underrated and largely unknown bands barely out of their shrink wrap. Quoting Houdini Dax, The Jezabels and The Good Natured amongst others, the only artists we had in common were Lianne la Havas and Friends. All fifteen can be heard over here.

كبف اشتري اسهم في السوق السعودي In conjuncture with the release of the Sound of 2012’s fifth runner up, the Blog Sound of 2012 is going the whole hog and giving you all five artists at once. Mainly because we’re impatient, but also because the logistics are terrifying. Click on the cut below to find out who’s won over our hearts and will captivate our ears for the next twelve months.

حجم الخيارات الثنائية It’s hard to believe that until April singer-songwriter Elena Tonra had no official material to her name. On its release her debut His Young Heart EP looped into the house of the wolf and clung to its finials; battered the door with beautiful lyrics and shrouded the roof in roaming, haunting instrumentation. It’s no wonder Communion Records released her follow up The Wild Youth a short six months later, and just as unsurprising that the 21 year-old has been voted onto the Blog Sound of 2012’s short list.

استراتيجية التفاح الخيارات الثنائية With the same kind of Scottish brawl that brought fame to Frightened Rabbit et al, Glasgow band French Wives mix that nu folk vibe with a Libertine husk that frequently blasts lad rock bands onto Radio One. Needless to say I’m not sure I like it, but these be democratic times and all of that.

We also live in wonderful times! Wonderful times when bloggers get it right and vote the jaunty, leftfield punk-pop of Beth Jeans Houghton onto the short list. Aided by no less than four years experience, the Newcastle native catapulted towards a wider audience with the viral release of “Dodecahedron”, taken from her forthcoming debut Yours Truly, Cellophane Nose. With a ton of festival performances under her belt, Houghton’s taking one massive charge at 2012. Expect no prisoners.

The project of twin brothers Miles and Marcus Haughton, Theme Park are also comprised of Louis Bhose, Oscar Manthorpe and ex- شعر بيع الذهب Music drummer Phil Jordan. While French Wives take influence from the British cockney punk revival, this band plunder the same resource as Everything Everything, The Drums and a few other bands that I don’t care about.

Friends

While Azealia Banks’ PR are busy stomping all over T4 presenters in the name of their client’s success, fans of new band on the block Friends will probably be left feeling sore at the BBC. Their no doubt catchy lead song “I’m His Girl” may have gained them top slot on this particular poll, but its cool aesthetic is both tantalising and painful. Friends’ status as the hipster band of 2012 is thoroughly secured by their history: they met while working at a vegan restaurant, and formed following a bedbug infestation in some Brooklyn residence. I mean, really. Regardless we should all enjoy the song before it gets on everyone’s tits and is banned from life.
