Video: Babeheaven share affecting trip hop of “Moving On”

movingWest London trip hop five piece Babeheaven have shared a video for their second single, "Moving On".

The affecting video for "Moving On" was directed by Tegen Williams, Raf Fellner and Frank Lebon. It looks at the experiences of Babeheaven's singer Nancy, with the video capturing "the different types of men in Nancy's life; from the controlling and omnipresent to the controlled and leashed, or the wild independent hero. But our focus should be on the ongoings of a man desperate for justice against a council who have wronged him, so for me it's about what we hold dear to us and what we find important."

Filmed in and around the band's neighbourhood with a team who've also worked on visuals for Frank Ocean and Skepta, "Moving On"is ultimately, say the band, about feeling that "just when you’ve got a grasp on everything, life comes back and smacks you in the face."

Babeheaven revolve round the long standing friendship between Nancy and guitarist Jamie. They first started spending time together in earnest whilst working on the same street in Ladbroke Grove: Nancy in her grandmother’s antique shop, and Jamie in a soul destroying stint at an organic farm store. Musically, Babeheaven’s tastes turned out to be similarly neighbouring: they bonded over a love of trip-hop, soul and electronica (everything from Portishead and James Blake to Stevie Wonder).
